Ramona Falls - I Say Fever
This is some amazing motion graphics work. Very intense. I'm blown away. I love the song too.

Animation vs. Animator

Check out this clever Flash animation about a stick figure drawn in Flash: Animation vs. Animator. It's a couple years old, as you can tell by the Flash interface. It's a lot of fun!

MK Ultra (MTV Exit: Some Things Cost More Than You Realise)
This is a very disturbing video about human trafficking from MTV, using MK Ultra from Muse. The video uses a lot of still images manipulated to give the parallax effect.

Making Future Magic: iPad light painting
"This film explores playful uses for the increasingly ubiquitous ‘glowing rectangles’ that inhabit the world.
We use photographic and animation techniques that were developed to draw moving 3-dimensional typography and objects with an iPad. In dark environments, we play movies on the surface of the iPad that extrude 3-d light forms as they move through the exposure. Multiple exposures with slightly different movies make up the stop-frame animation."

The Temper Trap - Science of Fear
I saw The Temper Trap last month and it was a mind blowing show, easily one of the best of the weekend.
Music video is one of the few mediums that allow for pure art with no need for a plot or a message. Their video for Science of Fear is very cool with lots of nice After Effects work. I'm sure it has meaning, but it's some great eye candy. I love the slow-mo and they really do a nice job with the birds (Particular?) They even use cartoon look, a look I normally detest, in an interesting way.
Do yourself a favor and check out their album. It's so unbelievably good!

Baby Carrots | Eat 'Em Like Junk Food | Future
What a great marketing idea! The sci-fi style commercial has some great "future" visual effects. The second spot is just hilarious! Well done, carrot farmers. Thanks to Debbie Rich of Digital Anarchy for posting the link to this article on Facebook.
